The Ethiopian Statistical Service (ESS) has released its official
Monthly Inflation Report for November 2018 Ethiopian Fiscal Year (EFY),
indicating a significant decline in inflation across the national economy.

(Down from 16.9% in November 2016 EFY) -
Month-on-month general inflation:
–1.4%
(Compared to a –0.8% decrease in November 2017 EFY)

- Vegetables: 10.2%
- Meat: 14.8%
- Sugar, jam, honey & chocolate: 18.6%
- Milk, cheese & eggs: 14.2%
- Oils & fats: 18.9%
- Fruits: 14.1%
- Food products n.e.c: 19.7%
- Bread & cereals: –3.0%

inflation rates reflects improved stability in consumer prices across key sectors
of the economy.
