Report on Large and Medium Scale Manufacturing and Electricity Industries 2015 (2007 E.C)
The general objective of the Manufacturing and Electricity Industries Survey is to collect essential quantitative data on the country’s manufacturing sector to support planning, policymaking, monitoring, the System of National Accounts (SNA), and performance evaluation, while addressing operational challenges to ensure a smooth supply of inputs and commodity production. Specifically, the survey aims to measure the total number of proprietors, employment, income, the volume and value of production and inputs, value added, and other key variables. These metrics reveal the geographic distribution of manufacturing across regions and major towns, the sector's overall economic contribution, and the current investment landscape. To achieve this, the survey evaluates data from both public and private establishments nationwide that employ ten or more persons and utilize power-driven machinery.
