Business Statistics

Business statistics are produced from several data sources and statistical operations covering the country’s non-agricultural economic sectors. These statistics provide reliable and timely information to support economic planning, industrial development, private sector analysis, employment monitoring, investment promotion, and national accounts compilation.

The most important sources are quarterly and annual establishment-based surveys, which collect data on production, employment, turnover, investment, and other business characteristics. In addition, periodic economic censuses and surveys are conducted to provide comprehensive information on establishments and enterprises operating in the manufacturing, construction, trade, services, and informal sectors.

Business statistics are also compiled using administrative records and business registers to improve coverage, quality, and timeliness. Data from these sources are integrated into various statistical publications and economic indicators.

Most business statistics are published as PDF reports, while key indicators are also available through the ESS StatBank and the IMIS Database, open data dissemination platforms.
