Report on Area, Production and Farm Management Practices Belg Season 2020/21 (2013 E.C)

 

The 2020/21 (2013 E.C.) Belg Season Agricultural Sample Survey had two main objectives: to generate basic quantitative information on the cultivated area, production, and yield of major Belg season crops, and to assess the use of various farm management practices. These practices include the area treated with fertilizers by crop type, the type and quantity of fertilizers used, the area planted with improved and indigenous seeds, the area treated with pesticides, the area under irrigation, and the area covered by agricultural extension packages, all classified by crop type and category. In line with these objectives, the survey findings are presented by first discussing crop cultivated area, production, and yield, followed by the findings on farm management practices.
