The Ethiopian Statistics Service has officially releasedThe 5th Population and Health Survey Preliminary Results of Addis Ababa City Administration.
Speaking at the workshop, W/ro Aynalem Teshager, Deputy Director General of the Population and Social Statistics Sector at the Service, delivered the opening remarks. She noted that the workshop is not only a platform for releasing the preliminary report of the survey but also an opportunity to build a shared understanding on how to utilize the data for future social sector development planning, monitoring, and evaluation in the city. She also expressed her gratitude to the administrative bodies at all levels and to the residents for their support in making the initiative a success.
Dr. Mulugeta Endale, Deputy Head of the Addis Ababa Health Bureau, pointed out that the data obtained from the survey will serve as a primary input for planning, monitoring, and evaluation aimed at improving and modernizing the city’s health sector. He thanks the Ethiopian Statistics Service for successfully completing the survey and organizing the data dissemination workshop.
The workshop was organized by the Addis Ababa Statistics Branch Office and attended by officials from various bureaus of the Addis Ababa City Administration. During the event, presentations focusing on the main findings of the survey pertaining to the city were delivered and fostering awareness among participants.
